Raphael is the name of a very special apartment in the historic centre of Cortona, the beautiful, seductive Etruscan town that captures its visitors instantly with its typically Mediterranean charm, ancient origins, the lively and colourful bustle in summertime, and the numerous welcoming restaurants that offer an exquisite range of dishes.
Its Renaissance buildings, proud witnesses of bygone days, blend harmoniously
into the stunning beauty of the landscape and view of Lake Trasimeno, an
invitation to relax and do nothing.
The apartment is on the first floor of a building that was once the home of the
noble family, the
Marchesi di Petrella.
The Raphaello da Vinci apartment and the
Leonardo
apartment are on the same floor in Palazzo Petrella.
They can be rented together for a group of up to 6 people.
Next to the bathroom with shower is the charming, irregular-shaped double bedroom, with bed, wardrobe and chair. During the afternoon hours in particular, sunlight streams in through the open windows – that same special sunlight that has always attracted painters to Tuscany.
The window looks out on one of the many tiny squares hidden away in Cortona’s tangle of alleyways.
It comprises a large living room with kitchenette, four jet gas cooker,
refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, cupboard, large table seating six,
chairs, sofa bed and TV, all of which combine to create an excellent degree of
comfort and a quiet, serene atmosphere. .
We can accommodate up to 3 people.
The apartment is located in a small side street just a few steps from the centre and the two main squares, Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza Signorelli.
